Out of everything I do, the thing I enjoy the most is photo manipulation. No, I am not very good at it but I have some designers who are very good at it and I get to see other people do photo manipulation all over the internet every day.

Below are some of the photos I like and enjoyed that have either been down in-house or were found online.

Photo Manipulation has to be one of the coolest things going and that would make Lilla Márton a very cool person. Don’t believe me, checkout out her work either below or even better take at her deviantART portfolio

She is a 23 year old digital artist from Hungary.

I wasn’t going to post this on my blog but since it was photo manipulation and it is something that any web designer should know how to do, I did take a look at what they were doing.

It was originally going to be a quick peak but as I noticed myself spending more and more time on the site I thought what the heck, maybe others would enjoy photo manipulation with a sense of humor as well.

So, we have the Italians Cristian Girotto and Alberto Raviglione who spent some time working on personal projects with s bit of a sense of humor.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you’re a designer then you have to be able to manipulate photos.

The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional jobs which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual idea and message.

A graphic designer uses typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.

Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as shapes and color which unify the piece. Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design especially when using pre-existing materials or diverse elements.

All that being said I found some phots from Josh Sommers who is a very good photo manipulation artist and has even done work for companies like playboy. Checkout some of his work below.

One of the first things you have to learn when designing websites is photo manipulation. It’s the ability to take and change a photo around in such a way that it will work with the web design.

Professional web designers use it daily when designing websites. However, it has also become its own art.

And artist like Pierre Beteille, a talented French artist, use it to show off their artistic abilities.

The thing that makes Pierre more unique is he digitally modifying his self-portraits.
