I am trying to get some ideas for my new SEO website design and the more I think about it the more I want to start off with just one product, and make it perfect. But I want the site to be simple, easy to understand and I want the one thing I do to be right in your face.

I’m really excited, for the first time in 10 years I’m getting my business organized. We are going to start for the first time putting a percent of the money back into the business for advertising and marketing.

The of the sad part is I spent the last 10 years killing myself, not knowing what direction to go in and not knowing rather to stand still or pivot. I had no idea what my problems were or for that matter how to solve them. As a matter of fact I never dreamed that I had a problem where the first one showed up.

Just so happened as we were getting everything set up for testing we accidentally stumbled across one problem, within 3 seconds of getting everything set up.

Here I was in a business I hated because I had to work harder and harder every day, and the solution was to stop working and get organized.

I feel better about the direction the business is going in. I feel better about the way the services will be handled with the clients and I feel better about the long term financial goals for the business.

It’s not because I worked harder but rather because I slowed down and started working smarter. I knew that my main problem was my inability to run the business, to make the decisions that needed to be made, that would allow the business to run smoothly. So we looked online for experts, and we found some experts, and we got some books, and we read some books and used that information to put some sails on our ship and get it headed in the direction we wanted to go.

The sad truth is a lot of people are in the same situation, they are struggling to pay the bills, working so many hours that if you added it all together they are making less than a buck an hour.

And the answer sounds crazy.

The answer is NOT to work harder, the answers is to stop what you’re doing and get some stats in place and start split testing.

Start comparing numbers, looking at stats, and trying to figure out the direction your business is going in and the direction you want the business to go in. It’s about setting some goals and saying okay here’s where we want to be in three months, and this is what we need to do to get there.

We need this many customers, in order to handle this many customers we need this many employees, in order to handle the many employees we need this size office.

I am taking the business from where it is now, to where we want to be in three months. Then we will write up another plan and take it from where it is then to where we want it to be in another 3 months.

I feel better about my business today than I’ve ever felt about my business. We are getting organized and we are finding problems and fixing leaks. The fact that we’ve already found one problem really makes us feel good because we know there is another list of problems to find and each one we fix it’s us closer to the end goal.

I am learning that to run a business you’ve got to know when to stop what you’re doing and pivot in another direction. Rather it is changing products, prices or just testing some new ideas.

What I am trying to do is take you from zero to a $30,000.00 a month business in 30 days. Since this is day one I need to decide on the type of business so…please bear with me as I run some ideas through my head.
