It was commonly understood that in order to have a successful web site, you needed to have something colorful, flashy, and could impress your site visitors the moment they landed on the site. For this reason people went crazy trying to put as many images, colors, and moving objects onto their sites and every website started to look like something out of a Disney movie.

For quite some time people liked what they saw, but time and time again, they ended up leaving the website, enjoying the view but doing very little of what they were suppose to do.

Call it shopping, getting information, accomplishing what they set out to accomplish.

It didn’t take long for the site owners to discover that they were getting plenty of visitors, but NO SALES, NO CUSTOMERS, NO BUSINESSES!

It didn’t take long for sites to start disappearing due to their inability to make money.

Then one day a group of web designers decided it was time to do something, so they changed the way they designed websites.

They built clean nice looking sites that complemented the products and services for sale and guided the website visitors in the path they wanted them to take.

It didn’t take long before people started bragging about the money they were making with these new clean sites and people started coming from all over the place asking to have their sites redesigned.

The flashy web designers are still around trying to build sites that showcase their abilities as an artist and web designer. However they lack the ability to turn a website visitor into a client.

When it’s time to build your website you have to decide rather you want a website that will make money or one that will just be pretty to look at.
