Over the years I’ve learned a lot about web designs and how they work. I have a pretty good understanding of how to make a website convert the traffic into customers and even how to get traffic to a site.

It’s a never ending game and about the time we get a grasp of how one aspect works we find that there are 100’s of new things that are happening right now that we need to learn.

And when we have time we look at our competition to make sure that we are able to stay ahead of them.
But the truth of the matter is that web designing is art and we will always find artist that we are impressed with. However, taking that art and putting it into a form that will grab the visitor and turn him into a client is skill.

And while I might see a lot of artist that impress me, I see very few that are able to turn that are into conversions.

I’ve got a client who owns a Silicone Wristbands website. We’ve been handling all his web design work for about the last 4 years and if I say so myself, we’ve done a bang up job. The site is hitting right around $200,000.00 per month and breaking records set in past years month after month.

If that’s not impressive enough you have to keep in mind that we are in the middle of a rescission. You see while some folks started laying people off and preparing for the worst we started testing conversions and working on rankings. The site is not doing as well as we’d hoped at this point but we are clearly on our way to an extremely profitable year.

The current design is less than a month old and we’ve already started working on a new design. The reason I bring all this up is because there are times in life that we have to pull our paints up spit in our hands and go to work.

If people cried less and worked more they might find that this rescission is nothing more than the government’s way of stealing more tax payer’s money. It’s an opportunity to eliminate competition and improve our own business models.
