By utilizing my degree in Business Law and 30 years of business experience, I offer transcriptions for the insurance industry which meet legal requirements for verbatim transcription.

I charge $0.0042 per character (based on characters; not spaces or keystrokes)
(Charging by the character is more cost effective for the customer.
If the transcriptionist charges by the page, they are charging the same for pages containing small amounts of information as those containing large amounts.) |
I currently receive my recordings from insurance customers in the following ways:
1. They mail me cassette tapes, micro-cassette tapes, or CDs. I email them the completed transcription and return the recordings by mail.
2. They email me wav files, which I transcribe, and email back to them. (The problem with this is that the wav files can be at the most 8MB. This covers only about 10% of all transcriptions.)
- This rate is for a 3-5 day turnaround time.
- Rush items (1-3 days) are charged $0.0045 per character.
