Okay…just remember, winners take imperfect actions while losers are perfecting their plans.
The first thing I want to do, is take the little bit I’ve done so far on the site, and put it up for review. I will do it on a couple different forums and use the feedback to get the site layout fine-tuned and set up.
While the layout of the site as well as the look and feel of the is extremely important, I have so much work to do, that I don’t want to get bogged down with trying to get everything perfect. So, I’ll launch the site now and fine tune it as I go along.
I think I will start with Facebook and Linkedin.
By getting uncomfortable and getting into things I normally don’t do, it allows me to expand my marketing. I will be going from the stands into the fields, acting on what the gurus say and determining whose full of BS and whose not. I most likely want discover anything you don’t already know, but I very well could shine some light on some things that I would like to know. And if you see me doing something wrong or know of a better way of doing something, please let me know. Cause I want to figure out how to make it work and need all the help I can get.
So…my game plan is to fail quickly, so I can figure out what is going to work faster.
Let’s post the site in site review and start working on setting up an account with Facebook.
First thing I am going to do is go to Facebook home page and click on the Create a Page text link under the sign up form on the right hand side and follow the steps.
Once everything is set up I am going to do a couple things to try and make the site get traffic and then send that traffic to my main site.
Here’s why I chose Facebook.
They have a massive and growing global audience as a matter of fact there are more people on Facebook then there are men, woman and children in the us. And last numbers I saw showed them getting over 39 billion page view per month, that’s more than any other website on earth, including Google. And best of all Facebook has about 1 advertiser for every 20 that Google has. And let’s not forget that on Facebook I can target only the people that want to buy my product. And one other thing to think about, Facebook has opened user profiles to the search engines. This means that if someone is searching for something online and a Facebook page comes up, that you are advertising on, you could very well find a client by way of the search engines while advertising on Facebook.
Now, I have to set this up differently than I would for Google. This is not search traffic and no one is on Facebook looking for something to buy.
I’ll continue this in my next post.
