I’ve been playing around a little with Template Monsters website. As a matter of fact I even tried to sell some of their templates. It was a bit disappointing when they say I’ve not sold any templates, yet my phone is ringing off the hook with people asking me questions about templates they bought off my site.

You see…template monster does not have a phone number anywhere on their site. I myself actually bought a template from them and it took me 5 days to get a response from someone when I never received the template.

The templates are anything but user friendly and then you add in the fact that they have a top notch attempt at customer no service and you have to wonder why they’ve become so big.

As the internet changes at the speed of light and business come and go at the same speed you have to wonder how long it will be before someone comes along and puts them out of business.

I’ve decided this week to become an affiliate for template monster and try and sell their templates on my site. I asked around their forum a little to get an idea of what their affiliates where making and found out that it is not something they like to talk about.

I decided I’d break the ice and told one of their members I’d like to do about $4,000.00 per month.

His response

You’re kidding me right? 4K a month? Hell I don’t even make that. You’ve got a startup in a market that is totally saturated and you plan on making 4K a month????

Jesus. Earth to Janeth….

And that is what I needed to know, as well as a little inspiration added in just for fun.

The idea is to do $4,000.00 in not only one month but the first month.

So…I guess it’s time to get started.
