I am guessing by now that most people have figured out that I don’t talk very much about Joomla. I like Joomla and I believe that it is a powerful system however; my problem with Joomla is that the management system has a learning curve and can be difficult to learn.

When building websites for clients you learn quickly that having to spend hours trying to explain how to do different things can be both boring and time consuming. For that reason I learn a little more toward WordPress when using a CMS.

However, with that being said I decided to show a couple cool Joomla templates.

I think the use of smoke in digital art or in graphic design can have some pretty cool affects. Below are a couple of those cool affects.

When it comes to marketing a site online, you need to have something that is link worthy. Link worthy is when something is so cool that people will link to it just because, it’s so cool.

A lot of times well written content on an interesting subject is enough to do this. But there are times in life that the product being sold is just not that interesting. It doesn’t matter how many articles you right, people are just not going to link to them.

This calls for a different approach and it is one we are working on now with a silicone wristband site we have. We hired a couple writers however, it didn’t take long for all the articles to start looking the same and it was rare for anyone to link to the articles.

In the past I’ve run across graphic designs that were just so cool that I linked to them. This got me to thinking about the silicone wristbands as well as the fact that none of the competition had tried this approach yet.

I’ve got some graphic designers in-house I am going to use and see how things work how.

Below are the original images we have to work with, these are all silicone wristband images and are very boring however, they are mixed in with images that I found online that are not boring to give you an idea of what I am talking about.

From time to time I like to post cool looking sites that I find on the web, some of them are designed by my team and others by people I don’t know.

Below is a music site that I ran across that I thought was a pretty cool looking web design so I thought I’d post it here.

Grazia magazine, is a well-known Italian women’s magazine, and that have challenged some of the largest Italian advertising agencies to create an advertisement for their readers.

McCann Erickson Milan created this advertisement to encourage men to look after their appearance a bit more, especially in the little details.

“Remember, women notice the details first. Grazia Magazine. Fashion is in the little things”

I like the advertisement and would like to add that designing is also in the little details.
