Okay, so I had my first depth collection agency call me today and I have to say someone needs to educate them on how to go about collecting a debt.

1. Find out if anything is even owed before you start accusing people of things.

Jay calls up and starts accusing me of hiring a company to design a website and then refusing to pay for it. He had it half right, I am the one that designed the website and his client is the one that refused to pay for it.

When I tried to explain everything to Jay and help him get his facts straight he hangs up on me. Come on Jay, grow up. Jay also claimed to be an attorney but then that was just Jay getting his facts confused again.

I call back and ask for his boss and I get William. I guess they hire people at RPS Worldwide based on how immature and disrespectful they can act.
Here are the facts for the RPS Worldwide employees.

I might have refunded the money up until the point that you idiots called up and showed your level of intelligent. As it is now I’d spend $10,000.00 to keep from paying $2,000.00. Had you been nice I might have refunded the money even though I don’t owe the money.

Had you guys looked into the matter a little more you could have be shown the finished site and seen that your client owes me money. But again, you decided to act like asses before finding out the facts.

So…to anyone thinking about hiring RPS Worldwide, I’d rethink the matter. In life things happen, I’ve seen people down on their luck one day and on top of the world the next. If a customer owes you money sending a bunch of immature asses after them will only make things worse.

In this case I don’t even owe this guy money, he owes me money and had he not called RPS Worldwide I would have tried to work something out with him, even a refund. But as it stands now RPS Worldwide has made me mad enough to come here and write this post about them.

Figure out away to get your money back without hiring RPS Worldwide, they will only make matters worse.

When first starting out to create a website, especially if you are a beginner you can create your own web pages using an editor like Microsoft’s Front Page. With this software, you can write your web page like you would any document and then drag and drop images easily. Some practice may be needed, by buying some templates; you can create a professional website for free or by using some of the free templates found on the Internet. Mainly in order for you to successfully present your ideas you have to create an effective layout design in an interesting manner whatever your topic may be.

Layout format – this will serve as your guide for a good design. Primarily this context must encompass a clear and well organized content that will make everybody understand and appreciate. It is very important to remember that most of your visitors haven’t spoken to you yet and your site will be the first impression they have of your company. If your website design lacks professionalism and/or does not reflect that of a well established company, your new prospect can easily lose confidence.

Try and avoid run of the mill things like page counters, java text scrolling, flashing images, GIF images, signs which say “we are not ready.” Or, too many illustrations or animations, black grounds or fade ins.

2. Create a design which coveys in a stylish way what it has to. Instead of using downloaded illustrations use original ones.

3. Avoid things like heavy files or graphics. These will slow down your pages. GIF is better than JPEG files.

4. Think of the target audience and subject being addressed when designing. The overall effect should be that of exclusivity.

Can your web host affect your websites ranking?

Of course it can.

I moved a website to Spain a couple years ago and the host had Google blocked from the whole server. Lost all my rankings the second I moved it.

We moved another site to the UK and it lost all the US rankings but started ranking so well in the UK that it actually started getting more traffic than it had gotten before the move.

And let us not forget that individuals that spam, recklessly accumulate links, promote certain material, as well as a variety of other actions can black list an entire server or IP.

Most these types of people hang out on the cheaper hosting plans because they attract these types of activities.

I’ve seen a lot of people miss out on designing a truly useful website. They get hung up on things that don’t matter and miss out on the things that do.

Like having a homepage that’s designed and set up in such a way that it shows the website visitor that it’s worth clicking a link and heading into the shopping cart or even visiting the rest of the site.

Your home page should have clearly defined headers that tell me who you are, what you are selling and get me excited about your offers.

The home page should be about special offers, clear navigation, call to actions, site search and branding.

Your website home page should reaffirm your brand and purpose. Let the site visitor know that they have landed on the right page and let them know what your unique selling points are within seconds.

Avoid long introductions with information that should be in the about us section of your website.

The home page should be clean, easy to understand and easy to navigate. All the information on the home page should be relevant to your product and written and designed to convert the site visitor.

I am currently trying to set up, design and build a membership site that would basically share information that I’ve learned over the years.

I’ve got the information in my head and currently need to take the time to put it all on paper but the real problem is in trying to figure out the best way to share it with everyone.

Do I start by randomly writing articles or would it be better to build a website and take you step by step in designing and promoting that site. I currently have a website that I am working on but since that site has already been started it might be best to start a new site from scratch.

However, building a website and taking you step by step through the process of making that site rank and make money would limit my ability to show you how to do other things, like finding a good niche.

There has to be a good way to do this but at this moment just not sure how. Maybe build one website and once that site is finished take you through the steps of finding another niche and repeating everything I did earlier, customizing it for the new niche.

That sounds like it might be the best way to go and then I could build a menu system that would allow you to jump to specific information if you wanted.
