I’ve got nothing against Edelman or Wal-Mart but 101 Dumbest Moments in Business has got Wal-Mart and Edelman listed as #1 on the 101 Dumbest Moments in Business.
#2 is none other than Northwest Airlines who handed out a book to their employees “101 Ways to Save Money” and then started laying them off. The book talked about not being ashamed of diving in a dumpster if you see something you like.
#3 was McDonald’s who gave away MP3 players in Japan that came with their very own family of Trojan horse viruses, when loaded to the computer they capture passwords, user names, and other data and then forward them to hackers.

There is a post over at WPW talking about Yahoo and how they seem to be stealing advertising dollars. Several members have started talking about the problems they are having with Yahoo. It seems the biggest problems is that they want let you block your ads from showing on publishers sites nor different countries. On top of that from what I’ve read it sounds like they try their best not to give you any customer service.
Way to go Yahoo, I guess Google has nothing to worry about but then didn’t I read something about you being happy being #2?

I’ve always had a lot of respect for Chris over at WPW and today he mentioned a couple times the website Fark and how much he liked it. He also mentioned that no one had anything like Fark in the marketing industry.
I’ve asked my guys to look into creating a section on the site that will allow us to have something like Fark for the marketing and SEO community. I figure it can’t hurt to bad to give it a try.
I’ve just recently gotten back into the whole social media networking stuff again. I’m trying to get some big traffic numbers to a site and thought the social networking might bring in the traffic I’m looking for.
At one time WPW was one of if not the fastest growing forum online. You could do a website review and by the time you finished posting and checked the forum your website review would be on page two. The forum has really slowed down a lot and no longer packs the punch it use to.
I really hate to see it slowing up like it has but I guess it’s time for me to look for some new forums to spend sometime on. Who knows, maybe the forum adminstrators will figure out a way to breath some new life back into it.
Here lately I’ve seen a lot of marketing and web design companies putting Google AdSense ads on their home page. This is a good sign that these companies are not able to make money with their website services.
I’ve got a couple sites that we use for ads, a good site that is getting a lot of traffic can make about $20.00 per day. A good marketing or web design company should be able to make around $1,000.00 per day. By placing ads on your home page, that at best you can make $20.00 per day with, is like placing an add on your site saying that you are unable to make a living marketing or web designing. But these people are still willing to pass their services on to others.
If they can’t make their own websites work, how in the world are they going to make a website they care less about, work?
