I spent a little time doing some website reviews over at WPW today and was surprised at our slow it has gotten. I remember when Brittany was there and by the time you looked at the site and got your review done it was already on the second page. Now it seems to be a bunch of made for AdSense sites and web designers wanting to show off their work. You can do the review and it might take a week to get it off the front page.
I guess it’s for the best, I need to start spending some time on my own forum. I have a good many members and I tend to ignore them. Maybe I can spend some time on my own forum and do some jumping around a little from forum to forum.
I can make a list of all the forums for the different topics over at ranked1 and start reviewing the forums.
I think thats a good idea.
I’ll start on it now.
I wrote this in a forum post a while back when someone was talking about everything or most everything having to do with luck. Someone brought it back up today and I thought it was worth a blog post. This is my response to the post and what I think about luck.
I don’t believe in luck, although I do believe that God looks out for us and sometimes allows things to happen, to get us back on track.
But the real problem with luck is the abuse it has taken over the years.
People refer to the poor as the “unlucky” and to the rich as “the lucky”
This way we don’t blame the person that ignores education, has no work ethics and develops poor decision making. He’s just unlucky.
There’s no personal fault involved, they can’t be blamed, its just bad luck.
The rich, their success has nothing to do with attention to education, willingness to work or careful decision making.
They were just lucky.
In this way we can destroy the individual and account everything to luck.
This allows the government to come and take the money from the rich and give to the poor.
After all the rich did not earn the money they were just lucky, so they should have to share their money with the less lucky.
I have two salesman that work full-time for me and normally sale at lest one or two jobs every other day but here lately it seems no matter what we do we are not closing the sale. The websites doing it’s job, the customers are either phoning in or emailing us. Maybe it’s just that time of the year, or maybe we need to look into why the visitors are not becoming customers.
I’m not sure where the problem is but I do know it’s rather depressing. Guess it’s time to look at a better way to do things.
I’m sitting here with a friend of mine trying to explain what a blog is and how it works. So I needed to make a post and this is that post.
PayPerPost turned me down
I guess I should have counted all my post before submitting to them. I knew I had been a little slack with my blog but I never dreamed that I had not posted 20 post in the last 90 days.
I guess that’s a little worst than just being slack.
