5 Proven Ways To Find Link Exchange Partners

Article Title: 5 Proven Ways To Find Link Exchange Partners
Author: Adam Thompson

If you’re like most small business websites on the internet
today, you use link exchanges to market your website. But
sometimes finding websites to exchange links with can be a time
consuming task. Here are a few proven methods for finding
websites to exchange links with.

1: Search Engines Queries

Using Google or Yahoo, perform the following searches,
replacing “keyword” with a keyword related to your site.

Keyword add url
keyword add site
keyword add link
keyword submit url
keyword submit site
keyword submit link
keyword link exchange
keyword link swap
keyword reciprocal link
keyword related sites
keyword links directory

2: Find out who’s linking to your competitor’s.

If you can find out who is linking to your competitors, you can
try to acquire a link to your site ob each site that already
links to your competitors. Just search for
link:http://www.competitors-url-here.com

3: Other link directories

Find sites that relate to your site that have link exchange
directories. Visit each site in their link directories and
attempt to exchange links with each site.

4: Link exchange tools

There are several excellent websites that match webmasters with
related sites that are interested in exchanging links. Two of
the best are Linkalizer and SiteSell’s Value Exchange. In
general, you’ll want to stay away from sites that completely
automate the link exchange process. I have used some of them,
but the search engines do not like these sites, and may
penalize your site if you use them.

5: Software

There is also software available that searches for and
automatically emails sites to see if they will link exchange
with you. I have used and like LinkAssistant. If you decide to
use this method, ensure that you comply with all spam laws and
the search engine’s guidelines.

All 5 of these methods are proven, dependable ways to find link
exchange partners. Use them and start gaining more free links to
your website today!

Is There Too Much “Noise” In Your Message?

Article Title: Is There Too Much “Noise” In Your Message?
Author: Heather Jacobson

I am all for advertising. It’s a way of life, and it is needed.
I know that without advertising, my local broadcast channels
would not be free. I know the power of advertising. I have used
advertising in various methods, and I place other people’s ads
on my blogs, websites, and in my newsletters.

However, there comes a time when it’s too much.

I subscribe to two paid print newsletters every month. They are
both put out by well-known marketers, both men I believe are at
the “genius” level when it comes to marketing. I admire them,
and I aspire to be like them, so I jumped at the chance to
subscribe.

In order to avoid publicly bad-mouthing anyone, I’ll call them
Marketer A and Marketer B.

Marketer A’s came first – a 16 page newsletter in a booklet
format that was nicely formatted. I gobbled up the information
in the newsletter, as well as in the CD that accompanied it.

Marketer B’s came later – the envelope was huge and I assumed
that it was packed with information. While it did include some
great content, the majority of it was information promoting his
other products. It took me some time to weed through everything
to find the newsletter, and when I finally did, I couldn’t
differentiate between the information and the advertisements! I
put it away, thinking I would come back later to read it. It’s
still sitting there.

This month, Marketer A sent his newsletter, and again I dove
right into the information and walked away from it thinking
he’s a genius. Marketer B’s newsletter arrived the next day,
again filled with advertisements.

I’m confused, and a confused mind says no. I’m sure there must
be some wonderful information within those 16 pages, but I
can’t get past all the ads. When the CD came, it was only a
recording of a free teleclass promoting someone else’s $1200
course!

When I sign up for a free teleclass I expect sales and hype.
There’s a reason that it’s free. I can get past it. But when I
pay for it, I’m not expecting to pay for another ad.

Not only that, but because I’m a “valued subscriber” I receive
at least one fax a week asking me to join something else that
costs $197 a month. Even as I wrote this article, I received an
email mirroring what the fax said.

This is just my personal opinion. However, I wonder how many
others get distracted by all the “noise” in various
newsletters. This man is greatly respected in the marketing
community, and it bothers me that I’m not able to digest the
information.

If the newsletter was free or low cost, I don’t think I would
mind as much. However, I pay $40 each month for this
information, and right now it is a wasted $40. I have not been
able to find anything in this newsletter to apply to my
business.

So here are a few guidelines for including ads in your
publications:

1. Have a good balance of ads and information. If your ads
outweigh the information, people probably are not reading what
you have to say. If you offer a paid subscription, your ads
should be no more than 20% of your information. They are paying
for your knowledge, not your ads.

2. Place your ads where they are seen, but don’t let them
distract from your information. Don’t hide the content that
your readers are interested in.

3. Make sure your ads compliment the information that you are
conveying. If you’re discussing how to build a website, then an
ad about a domain name sale or web hosting would be acceptable;
a Viagra ad, on the other hand, would not.

The fact is ads are part of our society. For many of us, it’s
how we keep our publications or services free. However, when
the information gets lost in the ads, the message we are trying
to convey gets lost, t. Our credibility has the potential to be
diminished, and we may lose readers in the end. So what is the
rule of thumb for using ads in a publication? Keep the noise
low so you can hear your subscribers sing your praises!

Pushing Traffic From Content Sites To Sales

Article Title: Pushing Traffic From Content Sites To Sales
Sites
Author: James Brausch

One of the most effective methods of getting traffic to a sales
page is very well-known within Adsense circles (used to send
traffic to Adwords advertisers through the Adsense program),
but not as well known for traffic generation directly to sales
letters.

That method is the content site. There are literally thousands
of people making a living online by simply creating content
sites, placing Google Adsense code on those content sites and
collecting a check from Google every month.

There are literally thousands of others who have sales pages
selling products and services who have never created a content
site and pay for their traffic through the Google Adwords
program. Much of that traffic is coming from those who are
creating the content sites and placing Google Adsense code on
their pages.

Isn’t that interesting? If you have a sales page selling a
product or service; how much could you save by cutting Google
out of the loop? A lot! If you have been creating content sites
and depending on Google for a paycheck, how much more could you
earn if you sent that traffic to a site selling an information
product of your own? A lot!

There is even more money to be gained with this strategy then
you might first imagine. At first, you might be tempted to
think that the only money being left on the table is the money
going to Google for providing the Adwords and Adsense programs.
Nothing could be further from the truth. If that was the only
money involved, then the percentages that Google keeps are very
small. their service is well worth that price.

But it’s not! That money is only the start. Let’s consider the
following facts to see that we can actually earn a multiple of
whatever you are currently earning from your Adsense check or
from your product site if you cut Google out of the loop.

1. The Adsense algorithm isn’t perfect. It often shows ads that
aren’t very relevant. If you cut Google out of the loop, you can
make your content site to sales page site traffic 100% relevant
100% of the time.

2. Adsense publishers often only get 0.5%-15% click through
rates on any Adsense ad due to a number of factors. The method
I will show you in this article will deliver 25% of the hotest
buyers from your content site to your traffic site continually.

3. Adsense is currently a negative ranking factor on all three
major search engines (see RankingFactors.com for more
information on that). That means that by running Adsense on
your content sites, they are slowly losing search engine
traffic month after month. By removing the Adsense and sending
that traffic directly to a product site, you will retain your
search engine traffic.

4. Many have reported getting banned by the Google Adsense
program. You came to the Internet to make money because you
wanted more control and freedom over your life. By getting a
large percentage of your income from a single company (Google),
you are sabotaging your efforts. You are at the mercy of Google
just like you were/are at the mercy of any employer.

5. If you are selling a product using Adwords traffic, you also
are at the mercy of Google and bidding wars. You must
continually improve your conversion ratio or the ongoing
bidding wars will eventually eat up your profit. Google (or
Overture or any other bid PPC system) is slowly allowing your
competitors to either receive more traffic while you receive
less. or causing you to pay them more and more of your profit
every month as you are forced to raise your bids to continue to
receive traffic.

Wouldn’tyou rather generate your own traffic and not be held
hostage to bidding wars?

So we are agreed that you want to cut Google out of the loop
whether you are a content site creator or the seller of a
product or service; right? How?

Well, first of all you will nead to learn the skills of the
other side. They aren’t difficult whichever side of the fence
you are on. If you are a content site creator, you can pick up
InfoProdCreation.com and have your own product 35 hours from
now with 5 hours of work. If you are a seller of a product or
service, you already have the skills to create content sites.
Just write articles instead of sales pages and give information
instead of trying to sell. Make it a multi-page site instead of
a single page sales letter.

And I’m about to give you the secret to traffic delivery from a
content site to a traffic site. It’s very simple. Create a home
page with only the following elements:

1. A very short 2 paragraph, 3-5 sentence description o your
product or service (no selling here).

2. A large (size 6) link that says either “Enter Site” or
“Enter Here”. This link leads to your product site.

3. Three smaller links (size 2) on a single line below the
above link that lead to the rest of your content site. They can
say “Widget Articles”, “Widget Reviews”, “Widget Forum” or
whatever types of content you have on your content site. about
widgets in this case.

You will find that about 50% of the traffic on a content site
eventually ends up at the home page. You will find that about
50% of those that end up at the home page will choose to click
the “Enter Site” or “Enter Here” link. You will find that those
25% of the content site visitors (50% of 50%) will be fairly
pre-qualified to read your offer. In many, many split tests,
this traffic has out-performed Google Adwords traffic.

Have fun and please leave a comment and let me know how much
more money you are making with this strategy. I would love to
hear from you.

Attracting Web Business

Article Title: Attracting Web Business
Author: Kat. Mitrou

So you’ve finished building a great website and you’re ready to
start raking in the profits – if you can figure out how to let
the world know your business exists. Although creating an
attractive website is an important first step if you plan to
start your own online business, it is definitely not the last.
In fact, once the website is complete you’ve still got quite a
lot of work on the horizon.

Just because you have a website up and running, it doesn’t mean
people will automatically know where to find you. And yet,
surprisingly, many first-time web entrepreneurs drop the ball
at this point in the game. They assume customers will find them
amongst all the other sites floating around in cyberspace, as if
through some kind of psychic connection. But if you think about
it, this type of thinking is very misguided.

It is the same with any business: customers won’t start
flocking to your store unless you invest some time and money
into advertising. Depending on your budget, you can either
blast the trumpet really loud or toot the horn a little bit at
a time. But in the end, you have to make some kind of noise in
order to be heard.

But how do you achieve this in the vacuum of cyberspace? Or
perhaps more fittingly, how do you make yourself heard amidst a
crowd of other aspiring musicians all trumpeting their own
cause? Obviously, online marketing is different from marketing
a bricks-and-mortar business, so it’s important to know exactly
where to begin. If you take the proper steps you will be
attracting interested customers in no time.

The first step is to know your customer, inside and out. This
is key if you want to be successful in your marketing strategy
because you can’t market to potential customers if you don’t
know who they are. For someone selling baked goods, targeting
the “Carb-Haters of America” might not result in the profits
you are anticipating.

Next, determine where you want to market your product. The
Internet allows every new or expanding business the opportunity
to reach a global market, but not every business is aiming for
that goal. If your website is set up as one arm of your
existing offline business, you might wish to target potential
customers in your local area who also want the option of online
shopping. In this case, integrate your website into promotional
materials for your store so people will learn about the new
branch of your business. Essentially, the efforts you make to
promote your business outside of the Internet can be used to
get your web address out there as well.

Internet Marketing

But of course, most people who begin an online venture are
looking to broaden their customer base and attract a global
clientele. There are several ways to start advertising online.
Just remember: online marketing is always changing, and nothing
works perfectly for every business. You might have to tailor a
marketing plan to suit your company’s specific goals, or if
Internet marketing makes your head spin, you also have the
option of hiring a company to do the marketing for you.

Step one: register with search engines. Unfortunately, this
doesn’t guarantee hits to your site, and the promises many
search engines make are usually more pie-in-the-sky than
realistic, but it is still a necessary evil. If you have to
choose, register with Yahoo! and Google, as the highest
percentage of web traffic originates from these two giants. In
the past, achieving top search results could be done for free;
now you have to shell out some cash if you want to get top
placement and advertising space. Yahoo! Express and Google’s
Adwords program are two examples of this type of paid search
engine placement.

Another way to get noticed is to participate in a link
exchange. Simply put, this involves seeking out other websites
that are related to your company or product in some way and
asking the owner if he/she will post your link on the site. If
the owner agrees, you offer to post their link on your site,
hence the term “link exchange.” This is a good way to start
advertising your site because it involves targeting the right
kind of people (someone visiting a site already related to your
business) and forming solid bonds with other websites. And the
more links other sites have to your site, the more popular you
become with the search engines, without having to pay for top
placement.

Finally, don’t sit back and wait for customers to come to you.
Be proactive and go directly to your clientele. Of course, this
means you must know where to find them, but this sounds harder
than it actually is.

For instance, many new businesses actually use eBay to source
potential customers. It depends on what you’re selling, but if
you know a lot of people looking for your product spend a good
amount of time making eBay purchases, that might be a good
place to begin and get your name out in public. Use eBay as a
marketing tool – sell a few items for very low prices, get
people on your email list and invite them to consider future
purchases from your website. EBay is more than a place to sell
goods; it can be used as a highly effective marketing tool.

Or, as mentioned above, make business connections with people
in a related business. Pay to have banner ads displayed on
other websites to help spread the word about your business.
This will bring you closer to the people who make up your
target market.

This is just the beginning when it comes to online marketing,
but if you start off on the right foot and persevere, you will
succeed.
