Moving right along, the next thing is our text. Out text needs to tell the site visitor why he needs our product. If your text starts off telling me where you’re located, how long you’ve been in business or anything else about yourself or business, then I could really careless.
I want to know what’s in it for me. Tell me what your service or your product can do for me. How is it going to make my life better, more complete and happier by owning your product.
Now that we have our logo finished, it’s time to move on to our tag line. The tag line is normally a three to seven word phrase that goes along with our logo and express the company’s most impressive benefit. We want these words to linger in the customer’s mind.
While tag lines appear to be created with very little or no effort, they, like your logo, do take time and planning. When you hear, Just Do It, you immediate think of Nike. The Real Thing, makes you think of Coke.
If your trying to create the perfect image for your business, it starts with the tag line and logo.
Little things can have a big impact on how your visitor feels and reacts to your website. While the visitor to your site can careless about the color of your site the colors do affect him/her. In most cases the site visitor is not even aware of the effect the colors have on them.
People feel more relaxed in green rooms and weightlifters do better in blue gyms. Colors effect us rather we know it or not. If you’re designing a website you need to know and understand how the colors you use are going to affect your site visitor.

It’s important that you understand, while you need a good design and name that will help you stand out from the competition, your site visitor could really careless about your design. The site visitor is there to serve their need.
They are either looking for information, to purchase a product or to be entertained. Your site design should help them meet their needs, while at the same time branding your business into their minds. Adding unnecessary flash and moving text into the design because you think it looks neat, is not going to do this.

It’s important that your design stands out from the competition. If someone lands on your site today and returns tomorrow you want them to remember your site and not wonder rather they’ve been there before.
The design needs to blow away the competition while at the same time being clean and easy to use.
