Another Tit-Bit...

Geeks on Steroids did search engine optimization for a select group of clients several years ago but decided to get out of online marketing for other people and focus on our own sites. This year after many meeting and lots of talks we have decided to once again start offering search engine optimization.

Another PayPerPost Business Model

I was playing around online today and found another company that is about to do the same thing as PayPerPost but claim to have higher payouts.
It’s not payola: bloggers are required to disclose that reviews are paid, and they are not pressured to make the reviews positive. (Oh, and one other thing: the payouts will be fat.)

Three things;

  1. Bloggers have to say that the reviews are being paid for.
  2. You do not have to write anything positive
  3. The payouts will be fat. I’m thinking he’s saying they will pay more then payperpost.

I like the way the new year is shaping up.

PayPerPost

In the past, I have gotten a lot of emails from people asking me for alternatives to PPC and Affiliate programs, I guess it was my post on PPC that caused these emails.

The truth is it can be tough trying to find alternatives, PPC seems like the way to go for an easy to start up business with little or no money down.

But I may have found an alternative to PPC.

There is a website that is willing to pay you to look at client’s websites and blog about them.

The advantage to the client is a lot of links, traffic and getting his site in a lot of blogs, the advantage to the blogger is he can make around $7.00 give or take a couple dollars per post.

I’m thinking this is going to be a big hit and that other sites offering the same service are not far around the corner.

Here’s why I think its better than PPC

1. I know that one post will make me the amount stated on the website. I saw some post paying as much as $10.00.

Unlike PPC where you have no idea rather your site will make anything.

2. I don’t need any where near the traffic to make this work as compared to PPC.

3. I’m paid for the work I do and do not have to rely on my ranking in the search engines.

4. The company has to respect the blogger, how would you like to have 2,000 bloggers mad at you.

5. Unlike being a publisher you get paid at the end of 30 days.

Now if you do this along with your PPC you get an added bonus and a desire to post everyday.

I submitted one of my blogs so I could get in and play around a little, I’m not much of a blogger so I may not get accepted but rather I’m turned down or not I still think it’s a nice little deal from what little I’ve seen so far.

Blogging Again

I’ve decided I’m going to start blogging again not because I’m a good blogger but to help me become a better writer.

I’m changing a couple sites we own into blogs and will start trying to blog everyday on the different sites, as well as returning to the forums to start posting again.

I’ve taken a break for the last two years from the forums and I think I’m starting to miss them.

Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

I’ve been tied up for the last year in half playing around with Ad sites. It’s an interesting business model but no one that was interesting enough for me to want to stay in. Although for a 2nd or 3rd source of income, I guess it’s not all that bad.

But now that I’m through playing I’ve decided to see what I can do with my web design business to get it going again.

It’s dropped from a pr6 to a pr5 in such a short time.

I thought about coming back in and marketing it the same way it was being marketed before. I was doing around $6,000.00 a moth before getting into the other business models.

But then I thought about doing something different and unique.

That’s when I came up with this idea.

I’m not sure how it’s all going to work but will try and post the results of how everything is going here.

Running An Online Business

Article Title: Running An Online Business
Author: Vincent Murphy

What can you do when you have been running an online site home
business for a couple of years but your profits are not as
strong as you would like? One thing you can do is to review
that you are getting enough traffic to your site, if you are
satisfied with this aspect of your business you might want to
consider increasing your sales through the method of follow-up
promotions.

The beauty of this idea is that it does not necessarily bring
more hits to your site but it does bring more people to your
site that will buy more of your products and this will generate
more income. If you already have customers, at least 30 percent
of them will purchase from you again and this number will
continue to grow if you use the follow-up techniques that are
presented in this article.

Take a good look at your customer base and you may realize that
you can get them to buy more times from you rather than from
someone else when you use this follow-up system. If they
already like the product they have purchased from you, there is
a good chance that if you offer them another product or a
discount on what they have already purchased, they will come
back to your site and buy again. This will then rekindle
interest for your site for your customer and their friends.
When customers like a product, they will tell others. The more
you follow-up and offer them items and a small bonus from your
site, the faster your profits will begin to increase.

One of the ways used in the follow-up technique is to reward
your customers for using your site and buying your products. In
addition, you can reward them for referrals to others. Special
notices that say thank you for their purchase, or offering a
small discount if they come back or refer your business to a
friend are all great ways to increase your profit margin.
Another technique is when your customer signs up at your site,
be sure to send a confirmation message that their request was
received, instead of simply saying, “we have received your
request” add a Special bonus in there. This is a great time to
offer them something extra from your site or a discount off
their next purchase, be creative and you will be amazed at the
responses you will receive.

The importance of this approach is to let your customers know
that you are following-up with them to make sure they are happy
with their purchase and that if they have any questions or
concerns they can contact you. Do not overwhelm them with sales
pitches, make them feel like you really care about your customers
and their satisfaction with your product.
