I’d thought by now that the whole intro thing would have died out but apparently it hasn’t.

Why people don’t read up on techniques before putting them on their website is beyond me. Did you know that all the testing for flash intro pages have shown that a large percent of people will leave your site before ever entering it?

With every click of the mouse another person leaves, and intro pages are even worst, in most cases the website visitor has to wait for the page to load so they can watch an intro video about your product.

How many people surf the television looking for commercials to watch?

Believe it or not people do not want to watch an intro page about your product. But if you’re not going to take my word for it at least find a nice flash intro template and have someone customize it, it’ll cost you less money in the long run.

But at the same time please test the conversion with and without the template and you’ll see what I am talking about.
