I want to explain my thoughts on link building
When I create back links to my site, I try to make sure that I create links to a number of pages. I do not want all my links pointing at the home page, if I do then it is the only page on my site getting any link love. I want to spread the love throughout the site to all the different pages on the website, because each page is optimized for different keyword and I want those pages to rank for that keyword. The idea is for people to find my website through the different pages and not just from the homepage.
The problem is that a lot of the traditional methods of SEO like; article marketing, directory submission and so on require the links to point to the homepage. So a lot of the stuff we will be doing will not be the traditional methods of SEO.
With that being said I have someone submitting the site to the online directories at this moment, so I am not saying I am not going to do the traditional SEO, just saying
I will be throwing some untraditional stuff in with it.
I will also not be studying the PR of the website I am getting links from.
I will not try to avoid links from PR zero or other low PR websites. Low PR links do have value, particularly if I get lucky and find a webmaster who is actively promoting his site. Remember, page rank is recalculated every three or four times months, so it is highly un-likely that what I am using to judge the page is a reflection of what is really happening with that page.
