I have not had much time to post on the forums lately, but it seems that a lot of people no longer believe in the sandbox effect.

The sandbox effect is basically a filter that applies to new websites that are trying to rank in the search engines for specific phrases. The reason the filter exist is to prevent SEO’s and spammers from easily manipulating search results by satisfying all of Google’s major offsite and on-site factors.

I believe the Google sandbox last for about six months give or take a month or two. During this period about the only thing we can do is create content, add pages, tweak the site’s design and add value to the website. The sandbox is basically six months of developing Time where you do not have to worry about customers coming to your website.

Matt Cutts has even stated that the sandbox is actually an algorithmic effect.

It makes sense that Google had to put something in place for the quality of the search. The neat thing about the sandbox is that can affect both old and new domain names.

But since many believe the sandbox does not exist, I am willing to buy a new domain name, build a website for, add unique content to it, and get links to it. If there is no sandbox, than the website should rank in the top of the search results immediately.

I bought the domain name GeekSEO.org and I am building a website at this moment. Once the site is finished I will start adding content and getting links to the site.
Since many believe the sandbox does not exist, ranking the site for SEO should not be a problem.
