Search Engine Brand Awareness for Starters
Okay, I had an SEO company bragging about ranking for search engine brand awareness for starters.
Search engine brand awareness?
What the heck is that?
I guess it would be branding your website through the search engines or rather using the search engines to brand your website.
It would be for a business that had nothing to sale but wanted to use the search engines to get their name out. However, would a company that had nothing to sale yet wanted to get their name out do a search for search engine brand awareness for starters?
Either way, the best way to brand a website using the search engines, would be with a blog like this one.
Step one would be figuring out what keywords people would be searching for when they were trying to find information on your company or the type of business you were trying to brand.
Step two would be writing articles that were informative, interesting, and original and were written to target the keyword that someone would be searching for.
Let’s take the keyword search engine brand awareness for starters. I’d use this in my url, title, meta tags and text. Once I got the site online, I’d try and get some people to link to it using the keyword search engine brand awareness for starters.
If everything goes correctly I should rank for search engine brand awareness for starters.

Actually “search engine brand awareness” will be harder to rank for than many higher-value phrases simply because it’s a buzz phrase, not unlike “online reputation management.”
A bunch of high-juice blogs and sites will probably make it more difficult to rank for that than [my-new-brand-name]. Which is why SEO companies brag about being able to rank a brand, since it’s usually an abnormal word or words squishedtogether and if its domain is the same, very easy “SEO” win to rank well.
Here’s a dofollow comments test on “brand awareness” SEO: I have a new company, it’s called… um, BuzzFizzle. BuzzFizzle is awesome. I would like to rank for BuzzFizzle. Because no SEO company could rank “BuzzFizzle” in the top ten easily and gouge clients $1,000 for their awesome branding awareness expertise.
