I talk to a lot of design companies everyday and it seems that a lot of them have problems selling website designs. They basically do the same things I do, as far as online marketing however, since I am in Colombia South America they have an advantages with off-line marketing such as yellow page ads, cold calling, flyers, newspaper ads and the list goes on and on.
This got me to thinking about why they have a problem with making the sale when I don’t feel that I do.
I think people feel and can tell that I actually believe what I am saying about my products.
Let me explain, it is not that my products are better than their products it is that I believe my products are the best. The fact that I believe that we do better website designs, the fact that I believe that we try harder to make our customers happy, comes out to the people I talk to on the phone rather I say it or not.
I am not a saleswomen, I do not want to sell websites. However when I talk to someone on the phone they can hear it in my voice, I believe in my products. I do not have to try and sell them on the product. I believe in my heart that my products are incredible, amazing and awesome.
Believing in your product and believing in what you are selling is going to come out to the people you talk to. If you do not believe in what you are selling it will also come out.
If you want to be a better salesperson believe in your product. Believing in your product is not something you decide to do, it something your product forces you to do.
