I spend a lot of time dealing with people who want to make money online but do not have a clue where to start. So when I read an article about someone like Jason Sadler who started a website called IWearYourShirt.com, which as the name implies, is a service where Sadler wears your company shirt, I get a little interested.

The reason it works so well is because he uploads videos of himself wearing your shirt to YouTube and Ustream.tv, posts photos on his blog and on Flickr, and tweets about it on Twitter.

In other words, he becomes a human billboard for your company. What makes this a valuable resource is the social media following. With more than 17,000 followers on twitter people care what Jason wears.

Jason’s already has reservations all the way up into 2010, and has already hired another shirt wearer.

Jason has become successful due to the social media following and the effect that following can have on your business.

Making money online is about thinking outside the box and people like Jason will continue to make money online because they are willing to take chances and think outside the box.
